site.btaIMF Delegation to Visit Bulgaria Next Week to Update Country Forecasts
Representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are expected to visit Sofia next week to assess the latest macroeconomic developments and update the institution's forecasts for Bulgaria, the IMF representation in Bulgaria quoted IMF Senior Regional Representative for Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe Geoff Gottlieb as saying. The IMF team led by European Department Mission Chief for Bulgaria Jean-François Dauphin will visit the Bulgarian capital between November 30 and December 6, Gottlieb specified.
The team will hold meetings with representatives of the Finance Ministry, the Bulgarian National Bank, other state agencies, the private sector, and nongovernmental organizations.
The discussions will focus on the spread of the war in Ukraine and the appropriate fiscal and energy policies for preserving the macroeconomic stability.
