site.btaTourism Industry Found Strength to Recover from Shock - Ministers

The Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHRA) held its 27th Annual Award Ceremony here on Tuesday.

Caretaker Tourism Minister Ilin Dimitrov and Economy Minister Nikola Stoyanov, who attended the ceremony, agreed that the tourism industry, which was among the worst hit by the series of crises, managed to found strength to recover from the shock, to demonstrate viability, flexibility, character, and capability. 

Stoyanov said that the sector reported over 20% growth in 2021 from 2020 and expressed the hope that this year will be even better.

BHRA Board of Directors Chairman Georgi Shterev spoke about the difficult conditions which the industry has gone through and its efforts to survive and succeed so as to guarantee the quality of the tourism product and present it to its clients.
