The unemployment rate in the euro area reached 6.5% in October, another low point after reaching 6.6% in September, the EU's statistical office Eurostat said Thursday. In October 2021, unemployment in the eurozone stood at 7.3%.

Unemployment in Bulgaria in October was 4%, unchanged from September this year and 0.7 percentage points below the October 2021 level.

Across the EU as a whole, unemployment fell to 6% in October from 6.1% in September.
