In October 2022, industrial producer prices fell by 2.9% in the euro area and by 2.5% in the EU, compared with September 2022, according to estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. In September 2022, prices increased by 1.6% in the euro area and by 1.4% in the EU.

In October 2022, compared with October 2021, industrial producer prices increased by 30.8% in the euro area and by 31.2% in the EU.

With a drop of 8.8%, Bulgaria had the second largest monthly decrease in industrial producer prices, after Ireland, -32.5%. Next came Denmark with -5.5%). The highest increases were observed in Greece (+9.6%), Hungary (+6.2%) and Belgium (+2.8%).

In October 2022, compared with October 2021, the industrial producer prices in Bulgaria grew sharply, by 55.5, but less than the 78.2% increase in September.
