In a phone conversation on Wednesday, Bulgarian head of State Rumen Radev and European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde discussed the guaranteeing of Bulgaria’s macroeconomic and financial stability in the conditions of a crisis, Radev's press secretariat said.

In the call Radev outlined the caretaker cabinet’s actions for preventing the risk of excessive government debt as well as the efforts to reduce the inflation rate that produced results in October.  He described the energy diversification achieved by Bulgaria as a key factor in curbing the rising prices.

The created conditions and the reasonable fiscal policy are a good basis that the caretaker government will leave for the next regular cabinet, Radev told Lagarde.
