site.btaAdvisory System in Agriculture Created under Revisions to Agricultural Producers Support Act

The Ministry of Agriculture will set up an advisory system in agriculture, Parliament decided Friday by adopting conclusively amendments to the Agricultural Producers Support Act. The system will include the national agriculture advisory service with the Agriculture Minister and the persons approved for participation in the 2014-2020 Rural Development Programme's Measure 2 (Consultancy, Farm Management Services and Farm Replacement). 

The new system will be supported by the Agricultural Academy's scientific institutes and the specialized higher education establishments in Bulgaria.

The agricultural producers entitled to support under Operational Programme Good Governance can receive complementary redistributive income support for sustainability, the MPs also decided.

Under the adopted revisions, the area monitoring system serves for satellite observation and assessment of agricultural activities and practices carried out on areas related to the support under interventions included in the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Strategic Plan.
