In 2021, among persons aged 20-64 years living in Bulgaria, 54.4% of non-EU citizens were employed, the Statistical Office of the European Commission (Eurostat) reported on Friday.

This compares to 59.1% in the EU (which was notably less than for citizens of other EU member states, 74.4 %, and nationals, 74.0%).
