The Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant brought its 1,000-megawatt Unit 6 back on stream on Saturday morning, the plant said on its website.
The unit was shut down for scheduled maintenance on December 10. After a leak of coolant was detected in the third steam generator, all necessary actions were taken to localize and repair the defects. Checks conducted showed that the unit's systems and facilities operate normally, meeting safe operation requirements.
The power level of Unit 6 is raised gradually according to regulations. The 1,000-MW Unit 5 continues to operate at full capacity, the N-plant said.
