site.btaEurostat: 99% of Businesses in EU in 2021 Were Micro and Small
In 2021, there were 30.1 million enterprises employing 155 million people in the European Union. Micro and small enterprises, employing up to 49 people, accounted for 99 % (or 29.9 million) of all enterprises, together providing a livelihood for 75.3 million people (49 % of total employment), show the latest figures from the European statistics agency Eurostat, published on Tuesday on its website.
In Bulgaria in 2021, there were 386,186 enterprises employing 2,130,890 people, Eurostat data shows.
