site.btaPer-Hour Labour Costs in Bulgaria Up 16.2% in Q3, Y/Y
In the third quarter of 2022, per-hour labour costs in Bulgaria increased by 16.2% from this time last year, according to snap statistics released by the National Statistical Institute Wednesday. The increase was 18.1% in industry, 16.4% in the services sector and 16% in construction.
By economic activity, the highest increase is reported in the hospitality industry (23.4%), in mining (19.4%) and in state government (19.2%).
During the same period, remuneration costs increased by 16.3% and other labour costs by 15.8%. The increase varied from a highest of 23.6% in the hospitality industry to a low of 7.5% in human health care and social services.
