Caretaker Innovation and Growth Minister Alexander Pulev on Thursday presented a Class A Investment Certificate to KCM 2000 Holding at a ceremony at a modernized canteen complex in Kuklen which the company opened a month ago.

The certified investment project is for KCM's technological integration with Kuklen. As an investment promotion measure, Kuklen Municipality will receive funding from the Innovation and Growth Ministry budget for building municipal road infrastructure elements.

"The KCM project is key to the entire region because this infrastructure will make it possible for the region to develop and attract investments from other businesses as well," Pulev said. In his words, the industrial zone in Plovdiv is turning into a magnet for all kinds of investors.

"We do not seek prestige, we rather seek effective interaction benefiting all society," commented KCM 2000 CEO Rumen Tsonev.

"Within a very short period of time we have certified 14 projects at an aggregate value of more than BGN 200 million, which have created some 1,300 jobs," the Innovation and Growth Minister pointed out.

KCM 2000 Holding operates in mining, production and trade in ore concentrates, non-ferrous metals and alloys, technological engineering, and integrated industrial services. It is the largest lead and zinc producer in South Eastern Europe and exports its output to almost all countries in the world.
