site.btaWholesale Food Prices Remain Dynamic in Last Days of 2022
According to information of the Commodity Exchange and Wholesale Markets State Commission, in the last days of 2022 hothouse tomatoes in Bulgaria gained 3% and traded at BGN 3.37 per kilo. Hothouse cucumbers kept trading at BGN 3.56 per kg, while red peppers depreciated to BGN 3.32 per kg.
Potatoes depreciated by BGN 0.02 and traded at BGN 2.23 per kg, while carrots kept trading at BGN 1.10 per kg. Cabbage appreciated by BGN 0.03 and was selling at BGN 0.89 per kg at the end of 2022.
Apples lost 7.34% and were selling at BGN 1.26 per kg. The price of lemons decreased by BGN 0.02 to BGN 2.42 per kg. Oranges gained 6% to BGN 1.77 per kg and tangerines, 7.14% to BGN 2.10 per kg. The wholesale price of bananas dropped by 1.4% to BGN 2.74 per kg.
The wholesale price of white brined cheese from cow's milk edged up by BGN 0.01 and it was selling at BGN 11.32 per kg. Vitosha yellow kashkaval cheese gained BGN 0.10 and traded at BGN 18.15 per kg.
Sunflower oil went up by 1.79% and sold at BGN 4.55 per litre at the end of 2022.
Butter gained 1.7% and traded at BGN 2.94 per 125 grams. Chicken appreciated by 1.3% to BGN 6.13 per kg.
Sugar lost BGN 0.03 and was selling at BGN 2.48 per kg. Grade 500 flour gained 2.11% and traded at BGN 1.45 per kg. Rice appreciated by 2.41% to BGN 2.97 per kg.
Eggs sold at BGN 0.39 a piece as at December 30.
