site.btaEconomy Minister: Austria Is Second Largest Investor with EUR 5 Bln

Some 10% of the largest foreign investors in Bulgaria are Austrian companies and they are concentrated in nearly all sectors of the economy: electricity distribution, telecommunication, energy banking and finances, commerce and industry. This transpired at a meeting between Economy Minister Nikola Stoyanov and Austrian Ambassador to Bulgarian Andrea Ikic-Bohm, the Ministry said on Monday.

Minister Stoyanov said that Austria is the second largest investor in Bulgaria with over EUR 5 Bln investments. 

Among the other prospective areas of bilateral cooperation are the sectors of transport infrastructure and technologies for environmental protection and energy saving.
