A new consumer index will measure the quality the hotel services in Bulgaria. Developed on the initiative of the Hotel & Tourism Investment Forum (HTIF), the HotScore™ (Hotel Score) will step mainly on the opinions of hotel guests published in over 200 online platforms, including Booking, Tripadvisor, Holiday Check, and Google, among others. Other factors that are also taken into account are the category of the hotel, the number of comments and ratings on various platforms, among others, the forum said on Monday.
The annual HotScore™ of over 1,500 hotels in Bulgaria with 20 or more rooms and a category of three stars or more was calculated in November and December last year, in partnership with TrustYou. As a result, the TOP 100 Best Hotels in Bulgaria 2022 ranking was compiled, which includes the 100 hotels with the highest HotScore™ in the country.
The index is designed to reveal the real picture of the quality of hotel service in Bulgaria thanks to the most impartial "jury" - the hotel guests, HTIF said. In this way, the spotlight will fall on those hotels and hoteliers that have achieved and maintained the highest level of service.
The aim of the TOP 100 Best Hotels in Bulgaria ranking is to motivate the owners, managers and teams of the participating hotels to maintain and even build on the high level they have already achieved. In turn, the teams of the hotels that are not included in this year's ranking to mobilize so as to increase their chances of ranking next year.
The participants in the TOP 100 Best Hotels in Bulgaria 2022 ranking will be distinguished at a special ceremony hosted by Sofia’s Military Club on January 19.
The HTIF is the largest professional event in the hospitality business in this country. Launched more than seven years ago, each year it brings together hundreds of hotel owners and managers, tour operators, suppliers, dignitaries and media to discuss current challenges and opportunities in the business and forge new business partnerships.
