site.btaBulgargaz Proposes Lower Natural Gas Price for February

State-owned gas company Bulgargaz proposes a 24.51% reduction in the price of natural gas for February compared to January, to be approved by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC).

An application for approval of the natural gas price for February 2023 was submitted to the EWRC on Wednesday, the gas company said.

The price proposed is BGN 135.38 per megawatt-hour (MWh) or EUR 69.22/MWh, excluding access, transmission, excise and VAT charges, down from BGN 179.33/MWh in January.

A final proposal for approval of the natural gas price for February will be submitted to the EWRC on February 1, taking into account the quotations of the pricing components as of January 31, 2023, the company specified.
