site.btaJan-Oct 2022 Bulgarian Trade in Goods with EU Up 42.7% Y/Y at Near BGN 53 Mln

In January - October 2022, the export of goods from Bulgaria to the EU increased by 42.7% in comparison to the same period in 2021 and added up to BGN 52,802,500, according to preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute released on Friday.

Germany, Romania, Italy, Greece, France and Spain were the main trade partners of Bulgaria and accounted for 66.2% of the exports to the EU Member States. 

In October 2022, exports to the EU grew by 33.5% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to BGN 5,636,900.

Imports of goods to Bulgaria from the EU in January - October 2022 increased by 32.4% compared to the same period of 2021 and added up to BGN 49,402,200 (at CIF prices). The largest amounts were reported for the goods imported from Germany, Romania, Greece, Italy and the Netherlands.

In October 2022, Bulgarian imports from the EU Member States grew by 29.3% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to BGN 5,336,300.
