The upturn on the Bulgarian farming machinery market in 2021 continued in 2022, the Agriculture Ministry says in a report which was made public on Friday.

In 2022, the authorities registered the purchase of 1,418 wheeled tractors, which was 8.9% more than in 2021. This is all the more impressive for the fact that 2021 had seen a record-high increase by 38.5%. The total number in 2022 included 272 newly purchased wheeled tractors registered in the fourth quarter.

A total of 219 newly purchased combine harvesters were registered in 2022, which implies an increase by 18.4% compared with 2021. The fourth quarter of 2022 witnessed 24 new registrations of combine harvesters.
