site.btaEurostat: November Production in Construction Down 0.4% M/M in EU and Bulgaria
In November 2022, compared with October 2022, seasonally adjusted production in the construction sector decreased by 0.8% in the euro area and by 0.4% in the EU, according to first estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, released on Wednesday.
In October 2022, production in construction rose by 1.0% in both the euro area and the EU.
In Bulgaria, production in construction increased by 0.4% in November from October but slowed down from the October growth by 1 percentage point. In the third quarter of 2023, this country's production in construction declined by 1.1 percentage points from the previous quarter, after insignificant increases of 0.1 percentage points in the first and second quarter each. Year-on-year, Bulgaria's production in construction in November rose by 1.5 percentage points, down from a 1.8% growth in October.
In July-September 2022, production in Bulgaria's construction sector contracted by 0.8 percentage points compared to the like period of 2021, in contrast with 1.1% and 2.8% increases for the second and first quarters of 2022, respectively.
