One of the largest Greek producers of chocolate and confectionery plans to move its entire production to Bulgaria. This transpired during a meeting of Economy and Industry Minister Nikola Stoyanov with the management of Interion AD, the Ministry said.
"The inclusion of the Kostinbrod industrial zone in the register of industrial parks in Bulgaria will enable companies to benefit from relaxed administrative procedures," Stoyanov said. He added that the Economy Ministry is currently drafting a programme for the development of industrial parks in Bulgaria. "It is planned to include various support measures and only industrial parks included in the register will be able to benefit from them," he stressed.
It also transpired during Stoyanov's visit to the Kostinbrod Industrial Zone that one of Europe's largest manufacturers of doors, windows and blinds - Rolplast Group - is starting an investment of BGN 12 million. The Minister visited the Rolplast factory and was shown the production process and new machinery and equipment. Over the last decade, Rolplast Group has moved its entire production to Kostinbrod. The company has a strong presence in the Balkan markets but exports to countries around the world.
