Businesses agree that achieving the Green Transition goals is a must, however, not all small enterprises know how to do it, said Delphine Rudelli, Director General of Ceemet - a European employers' organization representing the interests of the Metal, Engineering and Technology-based industries. Rudelli spoke here Monday at the "SMEs, social economy enterprises, crafts and liberal professions: Opportunities and challenges of the green transition" forum organized by the European Economic and Social Committee and the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association in cooperation with media partner BTA.
"The topic of the Green Transition is a priority in our agenda. [Ceemet] represents 200,000 companies in the metals industry. These companies employ more than 17.5 million workers," Rudelli said. She added that the Fit for 55 package came as a shock to the Ceemet company members. "We understand the need for measures to save the planet, but then at the companies level, measures have to be taken to make everything 'come alive'," Rudelli said.
