site.btaElectricity Production Up by 13.5% M/M in December 2021

Production of electricity in Bulgaria in December 2021 increased in this country by 13.5 per cent (reaching 5,013 GWh) compared to a month earlier. Production of petroleum products gradually recovered after the scheduled repairs of production facilities that took place over the preceding months but is still relatively low compared to the usual level. Production of liquefied petroleum gas was 1,000 t; unleaded motor gasoline: 51,000 t; diesel fuel: 172,000 t. Production of solid fuels and natural gas remained unchanged, the National Statistical Institute said on Tuesday.

In December 2021, production of solid fuels increased by 46.7 per cent year-on-year and of electricity increased by 28.9 per cent. Production of liquefied petroleum gas shrank by 80 per cent; unleaded motor gasoline by 43.3 per cent; diesel fuel by 11.8 per cent; natural gas by 50 per cent.

In December 2021, supplies grew month-on-month as follows: solid fuels by 0.6 per cent reaching 3,334,000 t; diesel fuel by 30.6 per cent reaching 209,000 t; natural gas by 30 per cent reaching 368 million cubic metres; electricity by 16.8 per cent reaching 3384 GWh. Supplies of liquefied petroleum gas and unleaded motor gasoline shrank by 5 per cent (reaching 38,000 t) and 44.7 per cent (reaching 26,000 t) respectively.

In December 2021, supplies grew as follows: of solid fuels by 44.3 per cent; liquefied petroleum gas by 18.8 per cent; diesel fuel by 14.8 per cent; electricity by 0.2 per cent. Supplies of unleaded motor gasoline and natural gas dropped by 16.1 per cent and 4.2 per cent respectively.
