site.btaHealth Ministry Organizes Humanitarian Aid Providing Medicines, Medical Supplies

The Bulgarian Health Ministry is organizing a delivery of humanitarian aid with pharmaceutical and medical supplies to Ukraine at that country's emergency request, the Ministry said on Tuesday. 

The request was received under the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism. The Health Ministry has reached out to leading Bulgarian pharmaceutical trade and distribution companies, who have expressed their willingness to cooperate in the provision of the necessary medical products and supplies to Ukraine. 

The Ministry is also working on the provision of urgently needed medicinal products, consumables, sanitary materials and dressings to the Ukrainian Red Cross. The requested aid will be sent out as soon as possible with the support of the Bulgarian Red Cross.
