site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 2,125 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 10.86%

A total of 2,125 new COVID-19 cases were identified on Friday by 19,561 tests. The test positivity rate is 10.86 per cent, show data posted on coronavirus.bg.

Seventy-four people with COVID-19 have died on Friday, of whom 68 were not vaccinated. The total death toll adds up to 35,790.

Some 80 per cent of new cases were not vaccinated.

The total number of registered cases since the start of the pandemic is 1,099,423, of which 211,634 are active. The number of hospitalized patients is 3,155, of whom 420 are in intensive care. The new hospital admissions of COVID-19 patients on Friday were 351, of whom 80 per cent were not vaccinated.

A total of 3,207 recoveries were reported for the day, bringing their number to 851,999.

A total of 4,309,300 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered so far, including 3,448 on Friday. A total of 2,048,538 people have been fully vaccinated, including 693,913 who have received a booster dose.
