In a play-off match in the Davis Cup World Group II, the unofficial men's world team tennis championship, Alexandar Lazarov and Alexander Donski defeated Borba Juan and Hernando Jose Escurra 6-3, 7-5 on Saturday. The doubles match lasted a little over an hour on the hard courts in Sofia Hall in the capital.

On Friday, in singles, Dimitar Kuzmanov defeated Hernando Jose Escurra 7: 6 (5), 6: 0, and Alexandar Lazarov beat Daniel Vallejo 6: 4, 6: 1.

Thus, Bulgaria has a definitive lead of 3:0 victories on Paraguay in the of Davis Cup World Group II playoffs.
