site.btaRila and Pirin National Parks Have New Directors

Vladimir Milushev is the new director of the Rila National Park, and Valeri Mechev will take over the management of the Pirin National Park, the press centre of the Ministry of Environment and Water said on Sunday.

"The main task that our team will focus on in the next few months is to complete the new management plan for the protected area, which has been delayed for more than five years," Milushev was quoted as saying upon stepping into office, according to the press release.

"Pirin is not just a protected area. Pirin is a cause for a preserved future," said Valeri Mechev, who already occupied the position in 2011-2013.
