site.btaNatgas Price Spikes by Nearly 40% on Balkan Gas Hub

The day ahead price of natural gas distributed by the Balkan Gas Hub for Tuesday, March 8, is 38.60 per cent higher than Monday's price, according to figures released by the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX).

A total of 3,920 MWh of natural gas sold at 467.77 leva/MWh by 4:20 p.m. on Monday, March 7. On the same market segment, the gas for delivery on Monday was priced at 337.49 leva/MWh, IBEX said.

The intraday gas price went up by 49.71 per cent. A total of 2,187 MWh of gas has traded so far at 420.42 leva/MWh, compared to 280.83 leva/MWh on Sunday, March 6.
