At its weekly meeting on Wednesday, the Council of Ministers made the following decisions as reported by the Government Information Service:

- approved a national coordination mechanism for reviewing the project readiness, prioritization and monitoring of the implementation of projects under the Connecting Europe Facility for Transport during the 2021-2027 programming period;
- approved and proposed to the National Assembly to ratify an agreement for conducting an economic review of Bulgaria between the Bulgarian Government and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The economic review is a mandatory step for this country's OECD membership. The review will take note of the progress made on the recommendations from the previous review, conducted between 2019 and 2021;
- withdrew a proposal to Parliament to give the green light to increasing the Bulgarian contribution to the regulatory capital of the International Investment Bank (IIB) according to the bank's capitalization programme for 2018-2022. IIB's members are Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Cuba, Hungary, Mongolia, Romania, Russia, Slovakia and Vietnam. On March 2, the government approved Bulgaria’s participation in a joint position of EU Member States Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland on the termination of their membership in two multilateral development banks: the IIB and the International Bank for Economic Cooperation (IBEC) ;
- capped the staff of the ministers' political cabinets. The advisors, experts and technical assistants may be no fewer than 8 and no more than 17. The cap aims to prevent inflating the staff of the political cabinets.
