Since July 2017, the football clubs in Bulgaria have an overall positive trade balance on their international transfers of players, a report of the CIES Football Observatory shows. According to the report, since July 2017 football clubs in Bulgaria have sold players for a total of 61 million euro and have bought players for 32 million euro, totaling a profit of 29 million euro.

The CIES Football Observatory is a research group within the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), specialized in the statistical analysis of football.

The report presents the net spending of the clubs in the 40 most active nations from an incoming and outgoing fee volume perspective.
