site.btaGreen Certificate Requirement to Be Lifted on March 21

The green certificate requirement is waived for all kinds of activities and events in Bulgaria, which were limited until now, as of Monday, March 21, 2022, the Health Ministry said here on Thursday. 

From the same date, the in-person classes in higher schools will be conducted if scheduling is introduced, which does not allow simultaneous practical or seminar exercises of more than 50 percent of the groups, as well as mixing groups, and classes are held at 50 percent occupancy. 

The requirements for regular ventilation, disinfection of the premises, and wearing face masks by students and teachers remain.

The same decree waives the requirement for COVID-19 testing in schools across the whole country as of March 29. 

The green certificate for indoor activities was introduced in October 2021.
