On the day for parliamentary control, MPs heard answers from ministers to parliamentary questions.

Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov answered questions from Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) MPs regarding pressure during the 2021 election campaign. The MRF have posed over  100 questions to the Minister of Interior on this topic.

"If you have information about pressure and questions regarding police officers before and on the election day of July 11, it means that there is sufficient reason to believe that a crime has been committed against the political rights of citizens. Therefore, the question was asked incorrectly. This also applies to the following issues, because the Minister cannot conduct an investigation if there are such violations - the competent bodies that can check for pressure are the prosecution and the investigation bodies," said Rashkov in an answer to a  question from MP Mukaddes Nalbant.

The Interior Minister answered other questions on the topic in a similar matter, pointing out that the anwser is within the scope of the prosecution and not his ministry.

MRF leader Mustafa Karadayi said that during the July 2021 elections there were more than 20,000 cases of actions by the Interior Ministry against MRF supporters, who he argued were harassed because of their political beliefs.
