The Bulgarian News Agency has signed a partnership agreement with the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The document was signed on Friday by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and Stephane Delahaye, who chairs the Chamber uniting 250 French, Bulgarian and international companies.

In his speech at the ceremony, Valchev said that France can serve as an example for Bulgaria, and that this partnership is beneficial. In his words, regardless of who has been in power, France has always defended and presented its products consistently; it has always treated its incumbents with great respect and can serve as an example that no one is above the law. “At least two presidents have been convicted, and even when charges are brought, in France that is done in the light,” he said. Valchev added that these examples show it is worth it for Bulgarians to have more information, particularly from a benevolent partner such as the French business in Bulgaria.

On his part, Delahaye thanked BTA for giving the Chamber the honour of signing the partnership agreement. He said he does not know of a single French investor who is unhappy in Bulgaria.

France is the sixth biggest market for Bulgaria. From this country France buys electrical and electronic car equipment, clothing and food products. France is the eight biggest supplier of products for Bulgaria.
