Bulgarian skier Albert Popov achieved a career-best finish, placing 4th in the last slalom of the World Cup ski season in Méribel, France.

Popov finished 22nd in the first run and 2nd in the second run, with a total time of 1:35.45 minutes, 0.16 seconds behind third-placed Manuel Feller.

So far, Popov’s best results in the World Cup were two 6th places in Schladming, Austria, in 2019 and 2021. The Bulgarian skier placed 9th in the slalom event at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.
