site.btaBulgaria and North Macedonia Sign Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Youth and Sports
Bulgarian Youth and Sports Minister Radostin Vasilev and Director of the Agency for Youth and Sport of North Macedonia Naumce Mojsovski signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of youth and sports, in order to create a legal regulatory framework of the bilateral cooperation.
The aim of the document is to start an intensive exchange of good practices for decentralization of youth policy.
According to the Memorandum, a permanent joint working group will be set up between Bulgaria and North Macedonia, which will include representatives at the institutional level from both countries. It will meet at least twice a year, and will include representatives of the national youth councils of both countries.
One of the tasks of the two countries will be to organize a "Youth Exhibition" in which non-governmental organizations have the opportunity to present their activities and projects they work on with young people.
In the field of sports, Bulgaria and North Macedonia will exchange experience in the management of sports schools, in organizing Olympic training for our athletes, in building sports infrastructure in mass and school sports. A friendly football match between the governments of the two countries will also be organized.
The memorandum is valid until 2027, and will be automatically extended for another five years.
