site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 362 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 0.89%

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,133,464, after 4063 tests identified 362 new infections on Saturday, 68.23 per cent of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 0.89 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 120 positive tests, followed by Varna Region with 44 cases and Stara Zagora Region with 18.

The active cases are 189,352. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 2059, including 242 in intensive care. Of the 54 hospital admissions, 85.19 per cent were not vaccinated.

The infected medical staff have reached 23,976.

Another 424 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 907,675.

Eight fatalities were reported (100 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 36,437.

With 201 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4 345 164  vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,049,302 people are fully vaccinated, and 718,316  have received a booster jab.
