A Korean delegation visited the National Revenue Agency (NRA). The managements of the revenue agencies of the two countries discussed the digitalization and the digital transformation of the tax administrations, the NRA said on Monday.
The NRA leadership discussed with its Korean counterparts the digitalization and digital transformation of the tax administration, as well as the possibilities for limiting the emerging tax fraud schemes with virtual currencies. The delegation, led by Daeji Kim, Commissioner of National Tax Service of Korea, commissioner of the Korean National Tax Service, visited Bulgaria at the invitation of the executive director of the NRA, Rumen Spetsov.
The hosts briefed Korean tax experts on the achievements and challenges in the context of the digital transformation in the NRA, and the director of Offshore Tax Compliance, Jung Sang Kim, presented the digital transformation in the Korean tax administration.
The two countries praised the good practices exchanged and stressed their importance for the development of the administration and increasing tax collection. NRA Executive Director Rumen Spetsov and his Korean counterpart Daeji Kim expressed hope that good relations between the two administrations would lead to fruitful future co-operation.
