Slovak State Secretary for Foreign and European Affairs Martin Klus paid a two-day visit to Bulgaria, said the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday. The agenda was dominated by Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine and its effects on Europe’s security system and the subsequent refugee crisis.

“We are glad that Bulgaria is an ally and a partner with shared views and interests and we rely on advancing our cooperation,” said State Secretary Klus. He reaffirmed Slovakia’s support for Bulgaria’s full-fledged membership of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Schengen area and the Eurozone.
