site.btaNational Association of Municipalities in Republic of Bulgaria Organizes Meeting of Municipal Heads from Bulgaria, North Macedonia

The National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria (NAMB) organizes a working meeting of the leaderships of municipalities in Bulgaria and in the Republic of North Macedonia eligible for support under the Cross-border Cooperation Programme between the two neighbouring countries, NAMB said in a press release on Wednesday. 

The meeting will be on March 31 and April 1 in Sandanski, Southwestern Bulgaria. 

The event is expected to be attended by Regional Development and Public Works Minister Grozdan Karadjov and the Minister of Local Self-government of North Macedonia Goran Milevski, and their deputies Delyana Ivanova and Zoran Dimitrovski.

The aim of the meeting is to familiarize the mayors on both sides of the border and their administrations with the activities eligible for support under Interreg IPA CBC Bulgaria - Republic of North Macedonia 2021-2027. The programme is managed by the Bulgarian Regional Development and Public Works Ministry. 

The participants in the meeting will also exchange experience and good practices in the joint implementation of EU-funded projects at the local level.
