Bulgarian Youth and Sports Minister Radostin Vasilev is in Luxembourg for the first Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Council meeting of the year, his Ministry said. On Monday, the sport ministers held a policy debate on promoting European values through sport and the organization of sport.

Before the debate, ministers listened to the testimony of their Ukrainian counterpart, Vadym Huttsait, who spoke via videoconference. He thanked Vasilev for the assistance Ukrainian athletes have been getting while training in Bulgaria.

In a show of solidarity, the Bulgarian authorities and sports organizations have pooled their efforts to accommodate Ukrainian athletes and provide training facilities, said Vasilev.

On Tuesday, he will participate in a policy debate of the Youth Ministers Council on "Mobility of Young European Volunteers: Linking national and transnational experiences to make European citizenship a reality".
