site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,180 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate Down at 9.57 %

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,141,859, after 12,333 tests identified 1,180 new infections on Monday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 9.57 per cent.

The active cases are 173,569. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 1,618, including 190 in intensive care. Over two-thirds of the new 229 hospital admissions were not vaccinated.

Another 5,033 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 931,682.

Forty fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 36,608.

With 1,376 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,355,205 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,051,130 people are fully vaccinated, and 725,866 have received a booster jab.
