site.btaBulgarian Foreign Minister Discusses Aid for Ukraine at NATO Summit

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Teodora Genchovska attended a two-day meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels that started on Wednesday, said Genchovska's Ministry on Thursday. The ministers discussed the future Strategic Concept to be adopted by the Alliance at the 2022 Madrid Summit in June.

The meeting was also attended by Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, NATO partners.

Genchovska told her colleagues, "We must speak in one voice and maintain our definite and coordinated response in solidarity with Ukraine, including additional sanctions against Russia." She added that increased political and practical aid for Ukraine is essential.

The ministers voted for increased support to be offered to countries susceptible to Russian intervention, such as Georgia, Moldova, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
