Deputy Foreign Minister Irena Dimitrova paid a working visit to Warsaw, where he met Tuesday with the Polish Foreign Ministry's Secretary of State, Szymon Szynkowski vel Sek, Dimitrova's Ministry reported Tuesday.
The main topics of discussion between the two were Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, the refugee crisis, strategic communications, countering disinformation and the joint response within NATO and the EU. The potential to fully utilize the potential of bilateral relations in specific areas was also discussed.
Irena Dimitrova and Szymon Szynkowski vel Sek signed a new four-year cooperation programme between the Bulgarian and Polish governments in the field of culture, education and sport. The document envisages numerous cultural, educational and sports programmes.
During her visit, Dimitrova also conferred with Bulgaria's Ambassador in Poland Margarita Ganeva and the Bulgarian Embassy's team.
