site.btaPM Leads Delegation to Ukraine

A Bulgarian delegation led by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov left on a working visit to Ukraine, the Government Information Service in Sofia said on Wednesday.

In Kyiv, Petkov will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, after which the two leaders will give a joint news conference. Petkov will also talk with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

The guests will tour the towns of Borodyanka, Bucha and Irpin, all of them in Kyiv Province, where they will see first-hand the damage and destruction inflicted by Russian aggression. While in Kyiv, the visiting delegation will meet with members of the Bulgarian community in Ukraine.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by Defence Minister Dragomir Zakov, MPs Kaloyan Ikonomov (Continue the Change), Stanislav Balabanov (There Is Such a People) and Atanas Atanassov (Democratic Bulgaria), and the Foreign Ministry's Situation Centre Director Anton Markov.
