site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 126 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 4.7%
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,161,630, after 2,694 tests identified 126 new infections on Sunday, 68.97% of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 4.68%.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 60 positive tests, followed by Sofia Region with 11 and Plovdiv Region with 10.
The active cases are 110,099. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 598, including 54 in intensive care. Of the 29 new hospital admissions, 68.97% were not vaccinated.
Another 181 COVID-19 patients recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,014,483.
Three fatalities were reported, all of whom were not vaccinated, and the death toll now adds up to 37,048.
With 73 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,391,362 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,057,786 people are fully vaccinated, and 752.882 have received a booster jab.
