Eleven organizations which work on the field with Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria are joining forces with nearly 40 employers for a career forum at Sofia's Inter Expo Centre on May 19, the organizers said.

Mottoed “Business Lends a Hand”, the forum aims to give Ukrainian refugees a chance at independence, gradual adaptation and inclusion in their new social environment.

The companies participating in the forum belong to all economic sectors and offer highly-skilled jobs mainly in IT and call centres, retail, restaurants, hotels, as well as unskilled jobs.

Some 75% of registered participants among Ukrainian refugees said that they have university education.

The forum is co-organized by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the Bulgarian Red Cross, BG4UA, AmCham, Caritas Sofia, The For the Good Foundation, CATRO Bulgaria, the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria and CVS Bulgaria.
