site.btaBulgaria Wins Fourth Gold Medal at European Weightlifting Championships in Albania

Bulgaria won its fourth gold medal at the 2022 European Men's and Women's Weightlifting Championships in the Albanian capital, Tirana.

In the 102 kg category, David Fischerov took the title with a total of 392 kg (a snatch lift of 177 kg and a clean and jerk lift of 215 kg). Samvel Gasparyan claimed the silver medal with a total of 390 kg. The third place was taken by the Spaniard Marcos Ruiz I Velasco.

Bulgaria's three other gold medals at the 2022 European Weightlifting Championships were won by Angel Rusev in the men’s 55 kg competition, by Ivan Dimov in the men’s 61 kg competition and by Valentin Genchev in the men’s 67 kg competition. Gabriel Marinov claimed a bronze medal in the men’s 61 kg weight class.
