The volleyball federations of Bulgaria and Georgia have signed a memorandum of mutual assistance, the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BVF) said Monday. BVF President Lyubomir Ganev and Georgian Volleyball Federation head Georgi Kartvelishvili signed the document marking the start of their partnership during the CEV U18 Volleyball European Championship 2022 in Tbilisi.

The first article in the memorandum is about the development of professional volleyball, beach volleyball and snow volleyball in the two countries. Next is the sharing of experience in all aspects: coaching, judging and event organizing. An emphasis is put on volleyball becoming part of healthy living in Bulgaria and Georgia.

The memorandum serves as a document of friendship between the parties; it does not have an end date. In Ganev's words, such documents will take volleyball to a higher level, and joint initiative between Bulgaria and Georgia are yet to come.
