The 64th mass swim across the Danube to the Bulgarian town of Svishtov is scheduled for July 30. Svishtov Municipality and the Bulgarian Red Cross organize the swim every year on the last Saturday of July.

The swim across the Danube is not competitive and all residents of the municipality look forward to it. All entrants will first get a check-up and will be taken by platforms close to the Romanian bank, from where they will swim the one-kilometre distance to the Bulgarian bank in batches.

All participants will get certificates. The youngest and the oldest swimmer, the largest group and families which swim along together will get prizes.
