site.btaDefence Minister Stoyanov to Join EU Countries' Counterparts for Informal Meeting in Prague
Bulgarian Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov will take part in a two-day informal meeting of EU Defence Ministers, which will be launched in Prague on August 29, Stoyanov's Ministry said in a press release on Monday.
During the first part of the meeting, the defence ministers will discuss the global consequences of Russia's war in Ukraine for global security and defence. NATO Secretary General Hens Stoltenberg, UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix and European Parliament Subcommittee on Security and Defence Chair Nathalie Loiseau will take part in this working session.
The second working session will focus on the EU Defence Investment Gap Analysis.
At a video conference with Ukrainian Defence Oleksii Reznikov, the EU defence ministers will discuss the Union's security and defence support to Ukraine.
