site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 178 New Cases, Two Fatalities

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,244,507 after 1,226 tests identified 178 new infections on Sunday, 70.75% of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/.

The active cases are 12,000. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 785, including 44 in intensive care. Of the 15 new hospital admissions, 86.67% were not vaccinated.

Another 135 COVID-19 patients recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,195,079.

Two fatalities were reported (one of them unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 37,613.

With 35 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,526,050 vaccine doses have been administered so far, including 64 904 reboosted.
