Bulgaria has qualified for the play-offs for Davis Cup World Group 

The Bulgarian national team defeated 3:0 the team of South Africa and if it manages to eliminate one more team, it will advance to World Group I. However, the next team will be defending its place in World Group I.

Matches are scheduled for March 2023 and the opponent will be decided by lot drawing.

In the 2000s Bulgaria has never played in World Group I of Davis Cup and its last chance of moving to higher division was in 1988.

In the decisive doubles match at the National Tennis Centre in Sofia Alexander Lazarov and Alexaner Donski defeated 6:3, 7:6(6) Lleyton Cronje Krone and Raven Klaasen.
